12st Scenic Spot - Susimdae

It is a noted valley ridge linked from Pahoe for around 0.4kms. The mountain surrounded by cliffs stretched like a wall, 'Susimdae', which is also called, 'Suwha', since the clean jade-colored water flows down around every valley, is also called 'Sokumgang' since it looks like a 'Kumgang' mountain. With a legend that a great Buddhist priest, Ilji, once was enlightened while watching the water flowing down along the place during the ear of Shilla Kingdom, it was named 'Sushimdae'.

It is located around 2.9km far away from Rajetongmun. Eunguam gained its name because of the shape: It looks as if a turtle-shaped rock is hidden in front of a southern valley of Gusan Village, "Unjangdae". It is also called 'Kangsundae' meaning a place where some female angels used to come down from heaven and take a bath once upon a time.

13st Scenic Spot - Sesimdae

It is located around 1.8kms away from Pahoe. It obtained its name since people believed that the bodies and minds of the passersby visiting Gucheondong are watered out by the valley rising with the peculiar rocks that are sunken into the clean water, which is pooled for a while after having flown down. This valley, which was once used as a valley trail, used to be also called, 'Someori Valley' (Cow-head Valley), since there was a cow head-shaped rock in the valley.

14st Scenic Spot - Sugyeongdae

A rich water sliding down over the velvety rocks, which are laid at the foot of the rocky cliff that is displayed like a wall screen, is pooled into a mirror-like transparent pond.

15st Scenic Spot - Wolhatan

It is located at the entrance of the 'Deokyudae Comprehensive Camping Ground' around 3kms away from 'Sukyeongdae'. It shows a breathtaking view while the fall water, which falls down sliding over the sloped peculiar rocks, is being moonlit.

16st Scenic Spot - Inwoldam

Located at the place around 0.3km away from 'Wolhatan', it is a noted place grading up with 'Ilsadae' and 'Pahoe'. It shows the most superb view with the structure and scenic beauty having the background consisting of the peaks of Deokyu Mountain as well as the widely-open sky unlike the other Gucheondong Valleys. During the era of Silla, a great monk, 'Inwolwhasang', built a Buddhist temple, 'Inwol-Bosa' and lead an ascetic life at this place. The waterfall and surround rocks present an exquisite view and a small pavilion, 'Inwoljeong', in the forest is seated barely visible.

17st Scenic Spot - Sajadam

It is seated around 0.2km away from Inwoldam. There is a big lion-shaped rock next to a small pond surrounded by the peculiar rock cliffs. According to a legend, it was once a place where a lion, which lived in 'Sajamok' (Lion Village in heaven), came down and used to enjoy taking a bath.

18st Scenic Spot - Cheonnyudong

It is a 0.2km long valley linking between 'Sajadam' and 'Bipadam'. Since the whole ground of the valley is covered by flat rocks, the clean water, which is flowing over them as if it slided down, presents a heavenly atmosphere while being harmonized with the surrounding forest. When the whole valley lovely starts to turn red in fall, the bluish water flowing down along the valley, Cheonnyudong(Bluish Water Valley), gets dyed red, too, while gradually turning all the mountains reddish as if it were on fire.

19st Scenic Spot - Bipadam

It is a 'Bipa'(a Korean mandolin) -shaped pond, which is placed under a series of cascades falling down in many water courses. Since the cascades are formed by the abundant clear water sliding down over the rugged rocks, the surrounding area is always covered with a heavy wet fog. It is said that this pond was named 'Bipadam' due to an interesting legend saying that, in the dim past, some female angels, who came down riding on clouds from heaven, used to take a bath in the pond and then to enjoy their leisure activities while playing a Bipa (a Korean mandolin) sitting on the broad flat rocks.

20st Scenic Spot - Dayeondae

It is a peculiar rock cliff linked to 'Bipadam'. It is a noted place where the ancestors, who admired the jade-colored water sliding down into the pond, 'Bipadam', while sightseeing around Gucheondong, used to take a rest to relive the stresses of bodies and souls while drinking a cup of boiled tea.

21st Scenic Spot - Guwoldam

It is situated around 0.3km far from Dayeondae. The pond, Guwoldam, containing the fall water falling down from the joint point of the streams of the valley, 'Woleumryeong', is harmonized with the colorful patterned rocks under the water and when it is dyed with the fallen leaves turned red in fall, it looks more fantastic.

22st Scenic Spot - Geumpotan

It is located at the point around 0.9km away from 'Guwoldam' on the way of Baekryeon Temple Valley. It was named since when the sound from water flowing down over the slanted rocks is harmonized with the wind sounds from the valleys in the deep mountain, it sounds like a 'gayakeum' being played.
